Kargil Vijay Diwas was observed at Modern School, Koradi Road to commemorate the Kargil War(1999) . The programme began with a patriotic song followed by speeches by students in Hindi and English. A video documentary highlighting the important events of the Kargil War was shown to the cadets of NCC, RSP and CDCC and also the students from std. 3 to 10.
Mrs.Neeru Kapai, Director of the school, highlighted the importance of discipline in the life of students and become better citizens of the country. Mrs.Anuradha Sardeshpande, Principal, motivated the students to hold the patriotic spirits high. Ms Rupali Dey, Vice-Principal appreciated the efforts of the teachers and the students.
Also present on the occasion were S/O Mahendra Shah, Associate NCC officer; Mr. Nandlal Choudhary, Warden Officer, RSP; Mr. Pravin Charpe along with Mr. Dilip Khumkar, In-Charge , Civil Defence Cadet Corps. The programme concluded with the lighting of the candles by cadets as a tribute to the martyrs.Ms. Cajal Gupta compered the programme.
